According to a representative of the Embassy of Burundi in Ottawa, the government of Burundi can deliver a travel document (called "Titre de voyage") which can be renewed after two years (29 Sept. 1992). The representative added that the holder of a Titre de voyage has the right to work, to reside, and to education in the country (Ibid.). However, the representative further emphasized that these rights are subjected to the condition that in all these areas the priority is given to Burundi nationals (Ibid.).
