Authorities in Belgium say they have detained four suspected recruiters for the Islamic State (IS) extremist group who may have planned new terrorist attacks.
A spokesman for Belgium's federal prosecutors, Eric Van der Sypt, said on May 25 the four were suspected of recruiting militants to go to Syria and Libya.
He said police found what he called 'traces' of a plot to launch a new attack in Belgium.
The arrests came just two months after three suicide bombers carried out coordinated attacks in Brussels, killing 32 victims.
Two other suspects were arrested in connection with the March 22 attacks – for which responsibility was claimed by IS.
Salah Abdeslam, a suspected terrorist in the November 13, 2015, terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 130 people, was arrested at a hideout in Brussels on March 18.
