Comments Attached is a rulling which may be of interest to you. It concerns a Libyan asylum-seeker who was awarded refugee status more than two years after having requested it. The delay was due to incompetence and mistakes made by the British Ministry of Interior (Home Office). He has been given leave to file a claim for damages and intends to ask for £30,000. Given the implications of this High Court ruling for numerous other asylum-seekers in similiar situations, the Home Office has lodged an appeal.
