A representative of the Ethiopian Community Centre in Washington, D.C. stated during a telephone interview with the DIRB (18 Nov. 1992) that low-ranking diplomats such as the clerical staff would be at risk on return to Ethiopia if their political opinion differed from that of the present government. Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
