Ethiopia: 1. Does the possession of a passport suffice to establish that a person has a legally enforceable right to enter and reside in Ethiopia? If a person obtained a genuine passport through the payment of a bribe, is there any country information to indicate that they might experience problems in re-entering Ethiopia? 2. Does a person who was born in Eritrea and resided there until 1997 have a right to enter and reside in Eritrea?

Ethiopia: 1. Do courts or other authorities in Ethiopia routinely or ever endorse a person's identity card to show that an individual has a case outstanding to prevent them from leaving the country? If so, what is the purpose of the endorsement? 2. Are persons departing Addis Ababa airport for overseas routinely required to show their identity cards. If so, what is the purpose (given that a passport would presumably serve as proof of identity)? 3. Is there any other way that authorities at the airport would know that a person had an outstanding court case?

Are there reports of the government destroying the market area in Geneb, Nazareth? 4. Are there reports of protests about the destruction of the market area in Geneb, Nazareth? 5. Please provide all current reports, especially DFAT, regarding obtaining a passport in Ethiopia and whether a person of interest to the authorities could depart Ethiopia.
