There is no information currently available among sources regularly consulted by the IRBDC specific to the 1990 elections held in the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of the Russian Federated Republic (RSFSR) of the Soviet Union. However, please find attached three reports on the elections held in the RSFSR in March 1990.
There is no information currently available on an organization known as Vozrozhdeniya ("Revival" or "Rebirth") in the Chuvash region of the USSR. Radio Free Europe notes the existence of a nationalist group in the RSFSR called the Union for Spiritual Revival of the Motherland, but provides no information on the organization (23 February 1990, 25).
