As crime and violence have increased dramatically in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras in recent years, thousands of vulnerable families and children run for their safety to Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala and other countries of asylum.
We need your help TODAY to protect these vulnerable families and children.
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is working around the clock to provide shelter and protection for those who are forced to flee, with special attention being paid to the needs of unaccompanied children. We are working with partners and NGOs to provide accommodation, legal support, psychological care and education for displaced children and their families.
UNHCR is on the ground responding to this mounting crisis, but we can’t do it alone. As the violence grows, so will the need.
