Coordination Performance Monitoring and Accountability:

In the coordination context, performance monitoring and response monitoring are distinct activities with different purposes. Coordination performance monitoring helps ensure coordinators and coordination partners meet their goals as articulated in group ToR. Performance monitoring should cover all aspects of a coordination mechanism to guarantee effective, accountable practice. This includes the effectiveness of coordination systems and groups, and the capacity of individual coordinators. Results of monitoring exercises should guide modifications. The selection of materials in this chapter combines sample best practices and IASC guidance.
