In a 1944 genealogical table of Somali clan names from British Somaliland and the Mijertein, the Balad Absame are listed as a Darod subclan descending from Absame Kumade (Somali Tribes 1989, 21). For additional information, please consult the attachment.
In spite of consulting oral sources not previously consulted for SOM22049.E of 17 October 1995, no other information could be found on the Balad.
