Agence France Presse reported on 1 September 1995 that Somalis expelled from Yemen went to Bossasso in the self-declared Somaliland republic. However, reports issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (29 Aug. 1994), the Associated Press (29 Aug. 1995; 29 Aug. 1995), Reuters (29 Aug. 1995; 3 Sept. 1995), the Bergen-based Record (30 Aug. 1995) and the Xinhua News Agency (1 Sept. 1995) indicate that the Somalis expelled by Yemen arrived at, or were heading to, Bossasso in northern Somalia.
