Pakistani police say they have arrested a co-founder of the banned Sunni extremist group Lashkar-e Jhangvi.
Senior police official Ashfaq Gujar said on February 22 that Malik Ishaq was arrested in the central city of Rahim Yar Khan earlier in the day.
It was not clear what charges Ishaq faces.
The Pakistani newspaper "Dawn" reports Ishaq was ordered detained for one month.
Lashkar-e Jhangvi has claimed responsibility for a number of attacks on Shi'ite Muslim ethnic Hazaras in the southwestern Balochistan Province in the past, and said it was behind the bombing in the provincial capital, Quetta, last week. That attack killed 89 people.
