The attached articles provide information on the treatment of Mohajir Quomi Movement (MQM) supporters since the return to power of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP). These articles, which cover the period December 1993 to March 1994, refer to alleged MQM violent activities and mass arrests of MQM supporters in the province of Sindh. They also refer to the violent rivalry between two MQM factions.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
