Information on the penalties for desertion from the armed forces could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.

According to Pakistan: A Country Study, military justice and the military court system are based on the Pakistan Army Act of 1952, the Pakistan Air Force Act of 1953 and the Pakistan Navy Ordinance of 1961 (1984, 290). This attachment provides further information on the structure of the military court system.
