The UN Human Rights Committee has voiced concerns over Iran's record on guaranteeing the rights of religious and ethnic minorities as well as the rising number of executions in the country.
The committee said it was disturbed by the continuing discrimination and arrest of religious and ethnic minorities as well as homosexuals.
It also expressed disquiet at the frequency of capital punishment imposed on juveniles.
It said the vague definition and the wide range of offences for which the punishment is used were of particular concern.
