| Comments | The present report has been prepared in accordance with the programme of work of the Commission on the Status of Women for 2007-2009 which identified The elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence against the girl child as the priority theme for the Commissions fifty-first session. The report analyses the current situation of the girl child and proposes recommendations for consideration by the Commission. |
