For information on the status in French Guyana of a person who has a "carte de resident," please consult Response to Information Request FRA19066.E of 28 November 1994. In a telephone interview on 22 December 1994, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Ottawa provided the following information. The status of a mother in French Guyana who was born in Guyana is unaffected by having two children, regardless of their ages, who were born in French Guyana.
