Twin car bombs in Tuz Khurmatu, north of Baghdad, killed six people and wounded 42.
Tuz Khurmatu is a majority Kurdish town that lies in a disputed area of northern Iraq, where both Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region and the central government in Baghdad compete for control.
In Khales, also north of Baghdad, two car bombs exploded as a police patrol passed by, killing five people.
Another car bomb in Muqdadiyah killed four people.
Meanwhile, the bodies of three blindfolded women shot in the head execution-style were found on October 31 in a Shi'ite-majority neighborhood of Baghdad.
Two soldiers were killed in the northern city of Mosul.
And gunmen killed one anti-Al-Qaeda militiaman in an attack on a checkpoint in Baiji, north of Baghdad.
