At least three Pakistani paramilitary soldiers have been killed in Balochistan after their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb.
The soldiers were on patrol in the remote Jhao area of the Awaran district, considered a stronghold of Balochistan separatist militants who have waged a decade-long fight for an independent state.
Frontier Corps spokesman Abdul Wasay said four other soldiers were wounded by the blast on January 31.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security forces in Balochistan – a vast territory that borders Iran and Afghanistan – are battling both separatist rebels and Islamist militants..
