More than 250 suspected illegal immigrants from Vietnam have been detained in Moscow.
Russia's Federal Migration Service officials said on July 8 in connection with the case that an unspecified number of guns, including what is believed to be a Kalashnikov assault rifle and what may be extremist literature, were found one day earlier in an industrial compound.
The migrants were reportedly living and producing clothing there.
It is the first time that such a weapons cache has been found during raids to detain illegal labor migrants in Moscow.
Last month, Moscow police detained about 1,400 suspected illegal migrants from Central Asia living in a makeshift village.
Also in June, Moscow police uncovered a vast underground complex for illegal migrants from Asia with a canteen, cinema, and chicken coop.
