The Kuwaiti state news agency is reporting that security officials have interrupted three planned Islamic State (IS) terrorist attacks.
The Interior Ministry on July 4 issued a statement saying that three "preemptive operations" had been carried out by security forces and "several" alleged IS members were arrested.
According to officials, the alleged plots included the bombing of a mosque and an Interior Ministry building.
On July 3, the Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced it was following an Interior Ministry recommendation to step up security at oil installations.
