Previous Responses to Information Requests on the subject, available at your Regional Documentation Centre through the Folio-Refinfo database, indicate that China does not allow multiple nationality. The Consular Section of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ottawa corroborated this information (16 May 1991). The source stated that people who acquire Chinese nationality must renounce their previous one while those who acquire a foreign nationality lose their Chinese nationality, adding that no exemptions are made for any particular nationality.
