Information on the above topic is currently unavailable to the DIRB; however, according to the U.S. Department of State's Country Reports 1992, "Israeli law provides strong guarantees of freedom for all faiths" (1993, 1015). The report also states that the Fundamental Human Rights bill, the intent of which is to enshrine the principle of equality before the law and prohibit discrimination based on religion, is currently being discussed by the Ministerial Committee on Legislation and the Knesset Committee of Constitution, Law and Justice (Ibid., 1017).
