Albania: 1. What rights do Albanian citizens have under the Schengen Agreement to enter and reside in Schengen Agreement countries? 2. What steps do Albanian citizens need to take to avail themselves of any such rights? 3. Can Albanian citizens avail themselves of such rights if: (a) they do not have Albanian passports; or (b) their Albanian passports have expired? 4. What are the Schengen Agreement countries? 5. China: 1. What is the status of Han Chinese living in Urumqi? Is there information in relation to whether a Han Chinese family would receive protection from the authorities if harassed by Uighurs? 2. Is it possible for a Han Chinese person with a Hukou registered in XUAR to return there at the present time? 3. If a husband's Hukou is registered in Fujian province, are his Han Chinese wife from XUAR and her baby (born in Australia) entitled to live there? 5. Zimbabwe: 1. Please provide information on a large MDC rally in Chitungwiza in January or June 2008, in which 50 ZANU-PF men came and reportedly forced people into a truck. 2. Democratic People's Republic of Korea: 1. Some purported North Koreans state that they have never held a travel document in their hands, and does not know the identity recorded in their passport. If true, this implies that such passengers and their escorts are confident that Immigration officials accept documents that are handled exclusively by their escorts, and that the officials do not engage directly with the passenger. Can the Department indicate whether or not this is usual practice? (The incoming passengers may well be part of tour groups from China.) 2. What do North Korean ID cards look like and in what circumstances must a person carry one? 3. (a) Is there any information on DPRK (truck) driver licences? (b) Is there any information on the age or other requirements to undertake such work? 4. Do young men undertake military training or camps whilst at school?
