Freelance photographer Dobrin Kashavelov met the boy while on assignment for UNHCR on his way out of the centre. “He was trying to get warm by starting a fire. The smoke from the smoldering tree leafs and gathered rubbish was rather choking the child than warming him. It made me think about his need to stay warm, but also his need for the warmth of a caring host.”
