   CCCM CLUSTER IRAQ


The ongoing armed conflict in Iraq has resulted in more than 3 million people fleeing from their homes and seeking alternate protection in Iraq. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) are currently living in more than 1,500 temporary settlements, as well as other non-camp accommodation (e.g. host families, rented) throughout Iraq.

Out of 3.08M IDPs in Iraq (source DTM IOM November 2016), the IDP population living in temporary settlement is 1,190,043 people:

2,053 Informal Settlements: 456,498 people; 76,083 families 

260 Formal Settlements: 733,545 people; 130,108 families

        81 Planned Camps: 528,946 people; 95,556 families

        157 Collective Centres: 100,778 people; 17,053 families

        17 Dispersed Transit Centres: 67,562 people; 11,358 families

        5 Transit Centres Camp: 36,249 people; 6,141 families
