Serbia/Kosovo

War crimes prosecutions progress slowly and lack political support, with only a few high-ranking former military and civilian personnel having been brought to trial for war crimes connected to the Balkans conflict. The Roma minority face attacks and harassment. Journalists reporting on sensitive issues endure attacks, threats, lawsuits and smear campaigns. The first Belgrade Pride Parade since 2010 was held in September 2014, but hostility towards members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community continues and includes threats and attacks.
