Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation, Isabella Lövin, visits Dadaab Refugee Camps
Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation, Ms. Isabella Lövin, visited Dadaab Refugee Camps in September 2015. The Minister was accompanied by a high level delegation from the Government of Sweden, officials from the Government of Kenya and UNHCR Country Representatives to Kenya and Somalia.
Ms. Lövin and the accompanying delegation met the refugee leaders, visited Ifo and Ifo 2 camps and discussed durable solutions, humanitarian services in the camps and Sweden’s continued support to the refugees in Kenya and elsewhere in the world. In addition, Ms. Lövin spoke to families who have voluntarily decided to return to Somalia about their aspiration once they are back in their home country. Refugees shared their issues with the Minister and appreciated her visit and the support of the Swedish Government.
