About RRDO is a relief and development organization that was founded in 2008.The organization was formed by a group of local professionals from Northern Kenya. It was formed to respond effectively to localized humanitarian cries and contribute to development efforts addressing millennium development goals in Northern Kenya, especially for refugees hosting communities. One major reason that lead to formation of the organization was to give local perspective and long term community based approach to disaster risk reduction initiatives to minimize vulnerability to climate related hazards like floods, droughts and environmental degradation. The organization works with marginalized and vulnerable groups including women, youth disable and IDP’S.
