  Highlights

 As of 31 August 2016 UNHCR registered 27,250 South Sudanese refugees in eastern DRC - with more arrivals to be expected as the South Sudanese crisis deepens

As of 21 april 2015, 2,740 burundian asylum seekers have crossed the border and are in the territory of Uvira (97 %) and Fizi (3 %).

The number of Burundian refugees in Rwanda has now reached over 10,000 with 4,300 of them having been registered by UNHCR.

On 8th April 2015, UNHCR Rwanda started the registration of Burundian Asylum Seekers fleeing conflict. 2,341 asylum seekers received so far.
