Kyrgyz Permanent Representative to the United Nations and UN High Commissioner for Refugees discuss cooperation

Bishkek, August 12.  Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Mr. Daniyar Mukhashev, met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. Filippo Grandi,  the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with the UNHCR, UNHCR projects implementing in the country and plans for the near future. In particular, the sides touched upon the issues of further implementation of UNHCR projects in support of the relevant government agencies of Kyrgyzstan working with refugees, implementation of the National Action Plan for the prevention and reduction of statelessness in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the increase of bilateral cooperation's effectiveness in the priority areas of Kyrgyzstan.
