Galway Integration Consortium - photo exhibition
In an event to mark World Refugee Day Friday 20th June, the Galway Integration Consortium are organising a photo exhibition exploring the reality for asylum seekers in Galway in the Galway City Library. The exhibition will run from 16th June - 28th June and will be launched on June 20th from 5.30 to 6.30pm.
Commenting on the event, Siphathisiwe Moyo, who was named African Woman of the Year for 2014 at the recent Africa Day award ceremony in Dublin, stated, ‘it is important that the reality of the lives of refugees are made known to people in Galway and we believe that this photo exhibition is a good way of doing this. We invite all in Galway to come along and view the exhibition.’
The launch will feature musicand testimonies from refugees living in Galway City. All welcome.
