A TOM birthday party is…

The reservations desk for birthday parties is closed from 5 July to 15 August 2016. As from 15 August 2016, it will again be possible to reserve birthday parties. A pre-reservation form is available here.

A unique experience

For an unforgettable birthday, The Olympic Museum (TOM) is offering an active programme to get the mind and body active.

With the TOM coach, children form a winning team, choose a battle cry, take up fun challenges and obtain points for friendship, fair play and excellence.

In the special area in the Gym’, the children then put their creativity to work making a shiny medal to reward a team mate!

The adventure ends with a well-deserved tea party of champions.

The Olympic Games, sport, the athletes, the Olympic values, the emotions, the ceremony show - both inspiring and the stuff of dreams! Come and experience it for yourself!

All the practical details

Age: 6 to 11 (min. 8, max. 15 children aged 6 and above)

Accompanying adults: obligatory presence of an adult throughout the event for a group of 8-10 children; two adults for a group of 11-15 children.

Languages: French, German or English.

Total duration: 2.5hrs (1.5hrs for the visit with coach and 1hr for the tea party at the TOM café under the responsibility of parents/guardians)

When: Wednesday afternoons only, subject to reservation.

Payment type: on the day itself, at the Museum ticket counter (CHF, EUR or debit/credit card). A cash dispenser can be found in the Museum entrance hall.

Cancellation deadline and costs: up to two working days before the event. After that, the full amount will be due.

Athletes’ Birthday, CHF 26 per child, including:

• A child’s Museum entry ticket
• An entry ticket for the accompanying adults (one adult ticket for a group of 8-10 children, two adult tickets for a group of 11-15 children)
• A 90-minute visit/workshop with the TOM coach
• A table at the TOM Cafe for the birthday tea party (set-up, tableware, cutlery and glasses, “Happy Birthday” place settings, coloured paper napkins, clearing-up and cleaning)
• A personalised chocolate cake with the child’s name and candles
• Drinks (Coca-Cola, ice tea, squash and water)
• An invitation card (for you to personalise and print out)

Champions’ Birthday, CHF 31 per child, including:

• A child’s Museum entry ticket
• An entry ticket for the accompanying adults (one adult ticket for a group of 8-10 children, two adult tickets for a group of 11-15 children)
• A 90-minute visit/workshop with the TOM coach
• A table at the TOM Cafe for the birthday tea party (set-up, tableware, cutlery and glasses, “Happy Birthday” place settings, coloured paper napkins, clearing-up and cleaning)
• A personalised chocolate cake with the child’s name and candles
• Popcorn
• Fresh fruit salad
• Drinks (Coca-Cola, ice tea, orange juice, squash and water)
• An invitation card (for you to personalise and print out)

These prices do not include:

• The presence of the TOM coach during the birthday tea party
• Museum entry tickets for additional adults: CHF 15 per person
• Food and drinks for the accompanying adults: these should be paid for directly at the restaurant (CHF, EUR or debit/credit card)
