Open doors for Almaty and Beijing today in Lausanne

After having formally presented their bids to IOC Members and representatives of International Federations yesterday at The Olympic Museum, the two Candidate Cities vying to host the Olympic Winter Games in 2022 were today showcasing their Olympic projects in individual exhibition rooms at the Lausanne Palace hotel.

This was the opportunity for IOC Members to get further information on each bid in a more intimate and informal way. IOC President Thomas Bach made an appearance this morning, looking at the different items on display and having a chat with the cities’ bid leaders and representatives in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The Candidate Cities’ exhibition rooms were open to the media this afternoon.
