YOG on the Road heads to Sochi
From Fiemme, Italy, we headed east for our next YOG on the Road adventure, to Sochi, Russia, where we met up with some ski freestylers at the FIS World Cup and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games test event.
Among those competing were Youth Olympic Games Ambassador Kevin Rolland (FRA) and his national teammates and top freestylers Thomas Krief and Anais Caradeux who had some words of advice for young athletes out there keen to follow in their footsteps.
Team USA skiers David Wise, Torin Yater-Wallace and Jen Hudak were also there testing out the halfpipe that will be used for the first time ever for a ski freestyle event at an Olympic Games next year, and they were all super excited about coming back to compete in 2014.
And after seeing ski halfpipe at the first Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck 2012 we know this sport is going to be a crowd pleaser!
