Fiji: 1. Are the Australian born children of a Fijian citizen themselves Fijian citizens and if not, what do they need to do to become citizens? 2. Is it an offence to have applied for protection in Australia or any other country under the Crimes Decree 2009? 3. Can any reporting be located to indicate that the act of applying for protection in Australia (or elsewhere) may fall within any of the offences of the Crimes Decree? Thailand: 1. Please provide information about the following: (i) whether a baby in the care of their mother would be at risk of being attacked or trafficked because they are half-white, and an Australian citizen, if they were living (a) in Prasat district or Surin district in the north-east border region of Thailand; or (b) elsewhere in Thailand. 2. Please provide information about whether the mother of a half-white Australian baby would be at risk of being seriously harmed because of the need to protect her baby from violence or trafficking. 3. If there is a risk of harm of the type mentioned in Questions 1 or 2, who are the persons or groups who may cause this harm? 4. Would the Thai police or other authorities be willing and able to protect the mother and her baby, who is half-white, and an Australian citizen, from harm of the type mentioned in Questions 1 and 2? If not, why not? 5. If there is no risk of harm to such a mother and her baby in other parts of Thailand, would the mother, who has previously worked as a production worker, be able to live safely and support herself there without the presence and support of family members?

Zimbabwe: 1. Please provide an update on the latest situation in Zimbabwe in respect to the treatment of MDC members and supporters by the ruling ZANU PF party members and militia. 2. Please provide background information on the Border Gezi and in particular its level of recruitment activity amongst school leavers in 2007, and its level of activity now. 3. Pakistan: 1. Can you please provide me with information regarding the current situation for Shias in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. 2. Can Shias obtain effective state protection from any harm in these particular urban areas? 3. Do people who have studied in the West in countries such as Australia face any particular difficulties on return to Pakistan and areas such as Karachi, etc? 4. Egypt: 1. Please give an outline of how the Baha'i community in Sydney is organised. 2. Deleted. 3. Does the Baha'i community provide information on whether a person is a Baha'i and, if so, how the organisation comes to that conclusion? 4. The International Religious Freedom Report on Egypt states that Baha'is in Egypt have had difficulties in obtaining identity documents and that Baha'is have experienced incidents of sectarian violence from time to time.
