George Butler draws a Syrian refugee family
Car windows:
"This is a drawing I made on the border at Kilis, Bab al Salaam in August 2012. Seems a long time ago now.
It was a family leaving Syria, three in the front and six in the back. I didn’t know where these people had come from and I dont think they knew where they were going. The shelling and fighting had stopped 10 days earlier in Azaz the next closest town. What no one knew at the time was that it would start again within a week."
