Our Approach: To guarantee the link between Emergency, Rehabilitation and Development ACTED's vision is to guarantee the link between emergency, rehabilitation and development based on the contiguum model. ACTED often establishes a presence in response to a disaster or crisis where ACTED meets basic needs through emergency response but goes beyond them by remaining in the field after emergencies to develop needs-based programming to meet the recovery and development goals of communities we work with. As a principle, ACTED starts pursuing rehabilitation and (return-to) development measures immediately after the start of and alongside its relief activities.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), also known as The UN Refugee Agency is a United Nations agency mandated to protect and support refugees at the request of a government or the UN itself and assists in their voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement to a third country.
