Elderly persons have specific needs which make them more vulnerable than others during and after the conflicts.
Elderly persons have specific needs which make them more vulnerable than others during and after the conflicts. Their lack of mobility, weakened vision and chronic illnesses can make access to support difficult. Quite often elderly refugees cannot be adequately taken care of by their family members who lack resources to do so or cannot dedicate quality time to provide the support needed.
