About David
British actor David Morrissey has been supporting UNHCR since 2014.
David has visited Syrian families in Zaatari refugee camp and Amman in Jordan, and has travelled to the Greek island of Lesvos to meet refugees who have made the perilous journey across the Aegean to seek safety in Europe.
He has highlighted the work of UNHCR through extensive media across many territories and helped shine a spotlight on refugee stories via his social media channels. David has supported key UNHCR events and campaigns, including World Refugee Day, the IBelong campaign to end statelessness, the Nansen Refugee Award and a film highlighting the important difference between refugees and migrants and the different protection they are entitled to under international law.
