| Results/Impact | UFSCar (Universidade de São Carlos) has been organizing entrance examinations since 2009 solely for refugees. Since then there is at least one position reserved for refugees in all the courses offered. The program also aims to ensure that the refugee can remain in college, offering stipends for food and lodging. Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais regulated the admission of refugees since 1998, and there is at least one position reserved for refugees in all the courses offered. From 1999 to 2010, 34 refugees were admitted, 10 finished their studies and 10 are still studying. UFMG offers different types of scholarships, support for lodging and to purchase books, medical and psychological assistance. |
