Their courage is admirable.

“I find that it is incredibly valuable to learn about international complexities when helping refugees. This is especially true when countries do not allow refugees to earn a living. It is an emotional and eye-opening experience to sit and listen to the stories and incredible suffering of refugees. It makes one appreciate the simple things in life such as having a safe home and future.

In general, it amazes me to see how hardworking the refugees I am able to observe are in labour-intensive industries (either legal or illegal) such as construction, food and beverage etc. Their courage is admirable.”
