Khong Kar Mun, Volunteer

khong

“I recently just joined UNCHR as a volunteer. I connected with a group of young refugees from United Learning Center and volunteered to accompany them to Pusat Sains Negara.

I find that those refugee students have potential in learning things, they take the initiative to answer questions that were given by teachers.

I joined as volunteer to serve refugees because of my personal faith in God. He has commanded His disciples – Love your neighbors as you love yourself. Refugees are my neighbours in this case, who are helpless in my country and whose futures are uncertain. I wish to be able to be blessing to those refugees. Education is very important to every individual and I believe that refugees do not get the opportunity to attain a proper one to make a difference in their destiny. I will try my best to help them in my efforts and time.”
