According to a representative of the Consulate of Jordan in Washington, D.C., holders of a five-year Jordanian passport are considered Jordanian nationals (6 July 1992). The representative added that holders of an expired five-year passport are permitted to return to Jordan where they are able to renew their passports (Ibid.).
