Officials say 14 people have been killed in a clash between rival gangs in the Pakistani city of Karachi.
Four women and two children were reported among those killed as bystanders became trapped in the fighting on March 12.
Some 40 people were reported injured, including children.
A senior police official, Faisal Bashir, was quoted as saying the gangs exchanged heavy gunfire and fired rocket-propelled grenades.
The violence reportedly erupted after one of the gangs kidnapped a member of the other gang.
The fighting occurred in Lyari, an impoverished Karachi neighborhood where there is frequent violence involving gangs linked to criminal, political, and ethnic groups.
The port of Karachi is one of the world's most populous cities, with more than 18 million people.
