Khaled Hosseini – The most urgent story of our time
After visiting camps in the Kurdistan region of Iraq which are home to 20,000 Syrians, best-selling author and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Khaled Hosseini has called on the international community to do more to help the tens of thousands of Syrians living in refugee camps or towns across northern Iraq while praising the resilience of refugees. Like millions of their compatriots, they have been forcibly displaced by the ongoing civil war in Syria.
